This project for a set of new buildings is for a London Housing Association. The design promotes construction efficiency by using pre-fabrication for the individual housing units. Careful orientation and use of tried and tested energy-efficient construction result in living spaces that have daylight and are extremely economical in use.

The arrangement of the accommodation in two relatively dense buildings, with each unit having a south or west facing balcony, allows for generous gardens and shared spaces. Distribution of workshops along the street edge and a shop on the corner reinforces the urban pattern, and ensures that the development has a lively, integrated mix of uses and spaces.
