In this project the house was extended and remodelled, and the valley which falls fairly steeply away from the building replanted and partly remodelled, to turn formerly windswept agricultural land into a garden with a variety of spaces of different feel and quality.

A large wood has been planted, based on a careful mix of species following careful research of local ancient woodlands. An extensive new orchard gathers up and contains the formal elements of the garden, such as car parking and a tennis court.
